Milan’s vibrant art scene welcomes a new addition with the opening of BFF Gallery, a modern and contemporary art museum located within Casa BFF, the headquarters of BFF Bank at Viale Lodovico Scarampo 15.
This exhibition space, accessible for free by reservation, aims to promote Italian culture and art by showcasing the BFF Group’s extensive art collection. The BFF Group’s contemporary art collection consists of approximately 250 works by internationally renowned artists, including Valerio Adami, Enrico Baj, Alberto Biasi, Piero Dorazio, Lucio Fontana, Emilio Isgrò, Piero Manzoni, and Mimmo Rotella. This collection represents a significant cultural heritage that the bank has decided to share with the public, transforming its headquarters into a space for artistic exchange and appreciation.
The official inauguration of BFF Gallery is scheduled for April 3, 2025, coinciding with Milan Art Week. The first exhibition will feature “Paradiso Perduto” (Lost Paradise) by Enrico Baj, a series of 40 etchings created in 1987, inspired by John Milton’s renowned epic poem. This exhibition will run until October 17, 2025, offering visitors an immersive journey into Baj’s artistic vision and his unique interpretation of the literary masterpiece.
The gallery’s architectural design ensures optimal conservation of the artworks.
Partially underground, the space protects the pieces from direct light, creating an ideal environment for exhibitions. This carefully crafted design reflects BFF Bank’s commitment to merging functionality with aesthetic appeal, providing an exhibition space that enhances the artworks and offers visitors an engaging and inspiring atmosphere.
Free access and cultural engagement
Entry to BFF Gallery is free, with visits available by reservation, making art accessible to a broad and diverse audience.
This initiative underscores BFF Bank’s dedication to supporting culture and the arts, bridging the gap between the financial world and artistic expression. The gallery is envisioned as more than just an exhibition space; it serves as a cultural hub, encouraging interaction and artistic exchange.
With the opening of BFF Gallery, Milan further cements its status as a leading cultural capital, offering residents and visitors a new landmark for modern and contemporary art. The gallery adds to the city’s rich network of cultural institutions, contributing to the growth and accessibility of art in all its forms.
