The Made in Italy in the fashion industry has a very high value and is requested all over the world. Answering to this demand, in 2011, Simone Maggi and Riccardo Schiavotto founded Lanieri in Biella, the first Italian e-commerce dedicated to men’s elegance, in a perfect combination of technology and tradition. It offers online 3D configuration and order of tailor-made clothes for men made with the best Italian fabrics, such as Loro Piana, Ermenegildo Zegna, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Thomas Mason, and Albini.
To tackle the markets, Lanieri has chosen an omnichannel strategy, supporting the e-commerce platform – where you can choose garments, fabrics and individual details with over ten million possible combinations available – with ateliers in Milan, Rome, Turin, Biella, Bologna, Paris, Brussels, and Zurich. With this approach, Lanieri is now active in more than 50 countries worldwide to satisfy more than 6 thousand customers per year. In 2017 Lanieri recorded an increase in orders of over 500% and expects to close with a turnover growth of around 60-65%. Much of the growth is also due to the innovative spirit of the company, which within a few months was among the first companies to expand the range of payment options, first with Apple Pay and later with bitcoins. On this aspect, CEO Maggi said: “We believe it is an opportunity for our customers. Lanieri means fashion-tech, and we want to dress the new global generation of entrepreneurs and smart nerd managers who are driving the technological revolution that is currently taking place in every sector.”
