Carpisa’s Capsule Cruz portrayed in Naples

The historic Monastery of Santa Chiara in Naples is the suggestive setting chosen by Carpisa for the shots of the new adv that sees Penelope Cruz in the dual role of protagonist and co-designer.
In the shots taken by Spanish photographer Nico Bustos, the actress brings her energy and seduction to the new Cruz collection, the capsule of sophisticated and versatile bags to which the actress, together with her sister Monica, has personally contributed, collaborating with the creative team of the brand controlled by the Piano Group.
Practical and refined, the Cruz capsule reflects the curious and dynamic spirit of modern cosmopolitan women and it becomes an expression of their personality and femininity.
In the photographs the bags stand out for their comfortable and essential design, embellished with exclusive perforated decorations, charm pendants with big tassels and metal details that enhance the intense colors. The Spring 2018 of Carpisa, deliberately inspired by the Italian Lifestyle, confirms the will of the Group to actively engage in enhancing the heritage and excellence of the Italian territory, which in the campaign is embodied by the astonishing beauty of the Monastero di Santa Chiara.

Here the power of the Baroque ‘riggiole’ (typical majolica tiles) that decorate the benches, pillars, and skirting surrounding the wonderful garden stand out in the original Gothic structure. The images of vegetable subjects, marine and rural landscapes, mythological and allegorical scenes, and masks from the Italian Commedia dell’arte were created by Domenico Antonio Vaccaro in the early 1700s, when he was hired for the complete renovation of the cloister – built in the first half of the 1300s – and monastery.
