In the upscale area of Östermalm, in Stockholm, Note Design Studio designed the interior for La Bocca, a new very ambitious Italian restaurant where it combined the Nordic sleek elegance with the Mediterranean passion, also thanks to the chairs by Zilio A&C – a family-run company that has been producing high quality wooden chairs and furnishings for over 60 years near Udine.
In the 200 square meters location, visitors are accompanied in a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere by the interior palette dominated by blue and sand tones; not in the hues found on Mediterranean beaches, but rather the gray blue nuances and wet sand from the Stockholm archipelago on early morning. In this context Zilio A&C’s chairs are inserted as harmonious and elegant forms. The Seleri chairs and stools, and the Nasu sidechairs, all designed by Studio Mentsen, have been chosen by the designers for their ability to enter into a dialogue with the aesthetics of the location.
The important choices of refined design and raw materials enhance, in a contemporary way, the warmth of being together at the table enjoying the traditional Italian recipes prepared with carefully selected produce, while savoring a wine chosen from the most extensive Italian wine list in the region.
La Bocca is a modern Italian restaurant with its own expression and poise, which combines the best of two strong cultures — the soft notes of the landscapes of the North Sea, as a backdrop to the bright colors and rich dishes of the Mediterranean cuisine. A game of combinations orchestrated with great naturalness to unite and enhance the cultures of two distant geographical regions.
