Every year, Vinitaly, the most important international trade fair of the wine and spirits sector attracts thousands of participants from all over the world who present their top production. This year the 52nd edition of the fair will be held in Verona from April 15 to 18.
During these 4 days more than 128 thousand oenology professionals are expected to be busy with technical tastings of wine and spirits, tightening business relationships, and an impressive convention program embracing conferences, forums and seminars dealing with topics of major current interest that reveal the challenges and prospects for the future. The spaces available to exhibitors were already sold out last December and 25% more than last year will be occupied by professionals that arrived in Verona for this purpose. Commercial delegations will arrive from 58 countries, while 48 thousand visitors are expected from abroad; among them 30,200 accredited buyers from 142 countries.
Organic wine will more than ever be present, with a dedicated section: Vinitalybio. A space dedicated to certified Italian and foreign organic wine that, which with the important collaboration of FederBio (Italian Federation of Organic and Biodynamic Agriculture), this year involves 74 companies. This type of product that can no longer be considered a marginal one and Italy is the first certified organic wine producer in the world with a total of 500 million liters produced.
