“eatPRATO” is back, and the third edition of the festival of taste in Prato, in the year of Italian food, is an unmissable event for all food and beauty lovers. For three days, from June 8 to 10, Prato becomes the capital of food.
The heart of the event is the Giardino Buonamici, which will be transformed into a garden of delicacies where to enjoy best products made in Prato: the Mortadella, the Carmignano wine, the Bozza – the unique local bread -, the Biscotti – traditional hard almond cookies -, the Pesche – peach-colored scroumpius pastry -, and the Dried figs from Carmignano. Moreover, “FUORI EatPrato 2018” will present many side initiatives, always on a food theme, to discover the city and its surroundings.
There will be many occasions to enjoy local good food, such as “CAMMINA&GUSTA” (litterally “walk and taste”) – which will include 4 dishes paired to 4 wines to be enjoyed in 4 different locations -, but also a “Show Cooking”, a “Food Session” with DJ-set, workshops for children – such as “FoodArt” where to create edible works of art -, and “Giochiamoci Prato” – with quizzes and sensory tests -, and “Prato & Stelle” – which will go on until dawn to have breakfast with a nice freshly baked croissant.
Food is combined with art. And for three days next to the tastings there will be guided tours, with a symbolic entrance fee 1€ for three museums in the city center.
