Wine and Art met again in Rome

Wine and Art met again in Rome

On May 20, wine and art lovers gathered again in the Casino dell’Aurora Pallavicini for the third year in a row to take advantage of the unique opportunity offered by CT Consulting Events that conceived and organized the 2018 edition of “Vino e Arte – che passione” (Wine and Art – what a passion).

The event brought 50 selected Italian wineries – including Antinori (Tuscany), Argiolas (Sardinia),Falesco (Lazio), Barone Di Serramarrocco (Sicilia), Trento Doc (Trentino) – in the Roman Baroque palace, located on the Quirinale hill, within the complex of Palazzo Pallavicini Rospigliosi, which occupies the site where the ruins of the baths of Constantine stood. There, once again, high quality wine tastings and exclusive guided tours to discover rarely seen private art collections merged the magic of wine and the artistic splendor of the evocative location.

The winning formula of “Vino e Arte – che passione” gave the public the opportunity to come into direct contact with the best Italian winemakers, appreciating and tasting unique labels accompanied by descriptions of the most experienced sommeliers in the country. This combined with an historical and artistic itinerary, during which guests contemplated some extraordinary works of art that are perfectly preserved, such as “L’Aurora” – the large Baroque ceiling fresco painted in 1614 by Guido Reni -, paintings by Luca Giordano and Annibale Carracci, the façade embellished with slabs of Roman sarcophagi from the II and III century AD, as well as the ancient sculptures of the central hall, namely the “Minerva”, the “Diana cacciatrice”, and “la Pastorella”.
