An important contribution to the success of this year’s edition of the most famous quadrennial international soccer tournament will be given by the many Italian companies that will take part in it with their products and service. From clothing to sports equipment and construction, the iconic Italian style, craftsmanship, and know-how will be represented by important names such as Erreà Sport, Isopan, Cimolai, and Technogym.
Erreà Sport, the technical sportswear company based in San Polo di Torrile (Parma), brings a taste of the unique Italian style to the World Championships with the shirts that it designed for the Icelandic national team. They are the same ones that, during the 2016 European Football Championship, were labelled as “the most beautiful in the tournament”. But the Icelandic will not be the only ones with something Italian “on” them, in fact, Isopan, the manufacturer of insulating panels founded in Verona in 1974, installed respectively 1,000 and 1,500 square meters of sandwich panels on two of the stadiums hosting the World Cup games. These panels act as both thermal and acoustic insulation, mitigating certain noises, like rain for example. Indeed, not only the covers are Made in Italy. More Italian excellence is present in the metal structures, such as roofing frames, of two of the stadiums, which are manufactured and built by Cimolai SpA, founded by Armando and Albina Cimolai in Fontanafredda (Pordenone) in 1949.
Last, but certainly not least, Technogym, the company from Cesena, leader in the production of technologies, services and design products for the fitness and wellness sector, is a partner of the Brazilian and Russian national teams. For the occasion, Technogym provided equipment integrated with MyWellness technology, a digital platform that records athletes statistics allowing them to monitor the results of their training programs.
