Men’s fashion in Florence with Pitti Uomo

Four days of fashion, from January 8th to 11th, the Fortezza da Basso in Florence will host the 95th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo. At the international fashion show, the most prestigious labels of the men’s clothing industry present the autumn-winter collections for the 2019-2020 season. The dynamic event, which is more than ever devoted to the scouting of new talents and the confirmation of the established ones, in this edition, presents 1,230 brands, of which 542 are international. These represent the best of men fashion, from classic-contemporary styles to high-end street styles, from outdoor clothing to urban styles. The dominant theme developed by Sergio Colantuoni in the Fortezza revolves around surprise boxes and it is called: The Pitti Box.

This edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo benefits from the extraordinary contribution of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Italian Trade Agency, as part of a Special Plan 2018-2019 in support of Made in Italy fairs. The contribution is dedicated to the enhancement of hospitality, media relations, and advertising activities. An edition that is much awaited also by Institute of Fashion and Art Marangoni of Florence. Indeed, the Institute’s new Director of Education, Diana Murek, commented: “I have great expectations for this Pitti Uomo. It will be important also for our students.” It is no coincidence that lessons at Marangoni have been suspended for the whole week to allow students to follow and participate in the special event.
