Italian boating at ‘Boot Dusseldorf’

‘Boot Dusseldorf’ is without any doubt the world’s largest indoor boat show, and one of the protagonists of this 50th edition is without any doubt Italian boating. Opened until January 27th, ‘boot Dusseldorf’ hosts 1,900 exhibitors from all over the world with their ships, boats, engines, accessories, and anything that has to do with the sea. Of these 139 stands are from the first exporting country in the world, Italy, which holds a market share of 14.5% and closed 2018 with a growth of over 10%.

Ferretti Group

Among the super yachts there are, of course, Sanlorenzo, Ferretti (one of its most prestigious brands, Pershing, presented its 8X carbon fiber), Azimut, Mangusta, Absolute, Cranchi, Solaris, Tecnorib Pirelli, and Zar Formenti; but no less valuable is the contribution of the many producers of different components. All the 138 Italian companies present, representing the entire production chain, have a reference point in the stand of Ucina Confindustria Nautica stand. As the President of Ucina Confindustria Nautica, Carla Demaria, explains, in Dusseldorf “we are ‘Casa Italia‘, where Italian companies, whether they are exhibitors or not, meet, do business, receive updates on regulatory and tax news.”

Indeed, Italy is present not only with manufacturing companies but with many other operators of the sector, like the managers of tourist ports: 80% of those sailing in the Mediterranean dock in Italian ports, which means supplies, technical assistance, tourist offer.
