Biccari, amazing landscape and accommodation options

The 2,800 inhabitants of the village of Biccari, in the province of Foggia, can enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the local hillside landscape of Daunia all the year round, but they are very happy to open welcome visitors, and they do so offering a wide range of accommodations. Not only B&Bs and hotels but also tree houses and even bubble rooms.

The local irregular territory, ranging from 181 meters to 1151 meters above sea level, extends between woods and hilly areas indulging the eye with very suggestive views. From the village, it is possible to admire vast expanses of pastures, vineyards, and olive groves, but also lush woods ideal for walks and excursions to discover the local environment. And it is right in the amazing context of the woods of Mount Cornacchia – the highest peak in the region – that, within Parco Avventura, it is possible to lodge in the only ‘Bed & Tree’ in Apulia – a series of small wooden tree houses that can accommodate up to four people each – for a total of twenty beds.

While, guests who don’t like the idea of climbing trees to go to sleep, but still want to fully enjoy the sensation of being part of nature, will soon be able to spend their nights under the stars in see-through bubble domes, or ‘bubble rooms‘, equipped with every comfort. They will be located by Lake Pescara – the only mountain lake in Apulia – and in the woods surrounding the village.

On the other hand, the guest staying in the charming hotels and B&Bs within the village have the opportunity to enjoy being in close proximity with buildings of considerable historical and cultural interest like Palazzo Caracciolo, Palazzo Goffredo, the Byzantine tower, the medieval portal of Palazzo Gallo, and the Roman-Gothic Church of San Quirico, dating back to the 15th century.
