Having dinner with 50 meters of void between the chair and the breathtaking view of the Franciacorta vineyards, this is the thrilling experience offered for some evening by EnjoySky in the park of Villa Bernese in Passirano (Brescia), the birthplace of the founder Nicola Mafessoli, who has been running restaurants for years.
The participants are harnessed and secured to the ergonomic seats so that they can dine safely and a giant crane lifts the twenty-seat table up in the sky until the feet dangling over the vineyards and meadows of Franciacorta. Maffessoli was inspired by a similar structure that he saw during a trip in Northern Europe, and he decided to create one that was one hundred percent Made in Italy and able to be itinerant so to be paired with the most evocative landscapes of the Belpaese. In fact, in the coming months, EnjoySky will go to the Amalfi Coast, Lake Como, and Sardinia.
Mafessoli explains: “We turned to the chefs of some famous restaurants in Brescia, who cooked directly on the suspended platform, under the eyes of the guests. We were overwhelmed by the booking requests and we had to say no to many people who would have liked to try this experience, but we will bring it back soon. Certainly towards the end of August on Lake Como, another place with remarkable views.”
Of course, the unforgettable experience is not recommended for the faint of heart, but for those who are looking for a further adrenaline rush, there is the possibility to rotate the ergonomic seats by ninety degrees to allow guests to take breathtaking selfies, maybe at sunset.
