‘Kartell Land’ celebrates 70 years of passionate Made in Italy

Until May 30,  the iADC in hosts an exhibition that tells the history of the company and its products

**Kartell’**s one is a story of passion, attention to quality, and technological innovation. The story of a brand that has become a symbol of Made in Italy. A story that is now accessible to the public in a great exhibition, ‘Kartell Land – Celebrating 70 Years of Italian Design History‘. The International Art Design Center in Shenzhen (China) will host the exhibition curated by Ferruccio Laviani until May 30.

Kartell Land‘, sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, allows a full immersion in the heart of the Milanese company. But also in its evolution and the values of its industrial production and design. Visitors can follow the evolution of the brand imbued with the values of its industrial production and design. Over an area of 1500 square meters, iconic objects, some from the permanent collection of the Kartell Museum of Noviglio, mix with surprising multimedia installations.

The exhibition route unfolds through several thematic areas.

Through the years‘ describes the history of the brand communication through including catalogs, advertisements, posters, and drawings placed on trestles to form a sort of art Gallery.

The Invention of Transparency‘ celebrates the famous transparent polycarbonate chair, one of Kartell’s iconic symbols. ‘The Invention of Color‘ is an explosion of colored objects, all different in shape and with different functions. While ‘The Invention of Future. Bio recycled Plastic and Wood’ illustrates Kartell’s attention to sustainability with objects and furnishings in bioplastic and wood.

The Invention of Italian Design‘ presents objects from the permanent collection of the Kartell Museum. While ‘Design Speaks‘ is  a roundup of all the designers who have collaborated with the company over the last 20 years. ‘The Power of Red‘, instead, is a selection of products in Kartell’s institutional red. Whereas, ‘Kartell à la mode‘ tells the collaborations with great international fashion designers. Finally, ‘Kartell Icons‘ close the exhibition presenting shots of the company creation made by great photographers such as Helmut Newton and David LaChapelle.
