Barilla for the third year running at the Australian Open

Once more, the Italian company partners with the Australian Slam and manages the restaurant inside Melbourne Park

Until February 2nd, the focus of the world of tennis is on the 108th edition of the Australian Open. Taking place at Melbourne Park, the tournament run by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) is the first Grand Slam of the year. And tennis enthusiasts that attend the event, as well as athletes, can enjoy the quality of Italian pasta in the Barilla restaurant.

The bushfires that had burned large portions of Australia for months, left a smoke haze over Melbourne and the air quality is very poor. Nevertheless, the event that is part of the 2020 ATP Tour and the 2020 WTA Tour has an interesting schedule of play.

On top of watching the games, the public has the chance to eat, for the third consecutive year in the Barilla restaurant.

The Italian company is once more one of the official partners of the Australian Open and runs the restaurant set up inside Melbourne Park. The exclusive location has 100 seats. From them an open kitchen allow guests to admire the preparation of the dishes.

We are delighted to continue the collaboration with Barilla – said Richard Heaselgrave of Tennis Australia -, it is a partnership that has had incredible success in the past few years. The goal is to further improve the experience of the fans, who can enjoy a very high level of choice and quality of products in the Barilla restaurant.”

Terry Ryan, CEO of Barilla Australia, said: “Returning to the Australian Open in 2020 and continuing to celebrate our collaboration with a champion like Roger Federer is incredibly exciting. We can’t wait to share our authentic Italian restaurant with the many people who will attend the Open area these days.
