The James Bond movie series needs no introduction as does the fact that, in it, impressive cars are the norm. While in James Bond’s 16th movie, ‘License to Kill’ (1989) we saw a Maserati Biturbo 425i. This car had a 2 liter V6 twin-turbo engine and was manufactured from 1981 to 1994.

The fantasy movie ‘Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief’ (2010) brings Greek mythology to modern times in quite a unique way. It revolves around a lighting bolt belonging to Zeus which gets stolen. Zeus accuses Poseidon’s demigod son, Percy Jackson, who lives in the US. The movie features a Maserati Coupe based on the 3200 GT. This was the first model to be sold in the US after Maserati’s 11-year absence in the American market. Produced between 2001 and 2007, it was also known as the 4200 GT due to its 4.2-liter V8 engine and it came both as coupe and spyder.

‘Limitless’ (2011) not only stars Robert De Niro and Bradley Cooper, but also a Maserati Gran Turismo. The makers of the film were looking for a car that was classy and stylish with high performance. And the Maserati GT, with its powerful 4.2-liter and 4.7-liter engines and impressive design, was perfect for the job.
