San Mauro La Bruca, where live a little more than 500 inhabitants, is full of history. It is in the heart of Byzantine Cilento with the Path of San Nilo where history, spirituality, nature, and traditions meet. It is only a stone’s throw from the crystal clear waters of several Blue Flags locations like Pisciotta, Palinuro, and Camerota. Moreover, from there it is easy to reach a great variety of wonderful places like the National Park of Cilento, the Vallo di Diano, and Alburni.

The furnished structure located in Monsignor Pasquale Allegro square can be rented by each couple of tourists for non more than seven days. And the rooms are assigned to who expressed interest first and subject to availability. The guidelines issued by the council also specify that the offer is for Italians and foreign adults that reside outside Campania and who have no relatives in the territory. Tourists who will choose the ‘low cost’ vacation will only have to bring their own sheets, pillows, and blankets.

The mayor of San Mauro La Bruca, Francesco Scarabino, hopes to “intercept tourism characterized by conscious fruition of natural, cultural, historical, artistic, resources as well as of the landscape and typical products. Even more so, in a historical moment marked by the dramatic consequences of the coronavirus health emergency.”
