Since 2017, Tiramisù enthusiasts wait for the ‘Tiramisù World Cup’ (TWC) to crown the best original and creative recipes of their beloved dessert. This year, the event moves online with an entire day of Facebook lives in four different languages. On November 29th, from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. (Central European Time), the ‘Tiramisù Global Marathon’ will give the chance to participate also to those who wouldn’t be able to attend the event in a specific location.

By registering through the TWC’s website guests will be able to prepare their version of Tiramisù live during the appointment in a language of choice – Italian, English, French, Portuguese. Throughout the day exclusive interviews with national and international guests, cooking classes, and much more, will alternate making this experience an unmissable moment. Sommeliers will introduce the best pairing with the dessert in all four languages. And there will even be a dedicated session for young chefs (under 16); at 4.00 p.m., they will have the opportunity to prepare their Tiramisù live and present it.

The TWC also wants to support the tourism sector in Venice during this very delicate time. ‘A Marathon for Venice’ is a fundraising campaign for the revival of Venice and its activities. The initiative can be supported with donations through the Tiramisù Academy’s website. The Tiramisù Academy, which collaborates with us in this Tiramisù Global Marathon, is the non-profit association that brings together Tiramisù fans from all over the world. In fact, this dessert is internationally considered the symbol of the gastronomic and cultural heritage of the Belpaese and the positive values associated with it. In addition to donations, it is possible to partake in the contest titled ‘Your Venetian Tiramisù’. The recipes must remind of Venice with decorations, ingredients, colors, or whatever inspires the chef. The experts of the Tiramisù Academy will award three Tiramisù, who will win the participation in the next TWC.
