This performance is part of a larger concept titled Gala Italia, now in its fourth edition, an internationally acclaimed event organized by the magazine All about Italy, www.allaboutitaly.net, a platform that has been promoting Italian excellence on a global level since 1997. This edition is part of a series of events promoting Made in Italy that in the past have received widespread recognition, including the** Bronze Commemorative Medal** awarded by former President of the Italian Republic, Giorgio Napolitano, to publisher Paolo Del Panta for his commitment to promoting Italian culture abroad.
“Once again this year, Gala Italia stands out for the innovation and exclusivity of its content. We are proud to bring such a high-profile cultural show to Munich,” says Del Panta. During the concert on December 12 at the Herkulessaal in Munich, Luigi Cherubini’s Solemn Mass in D Minor No. 2 “For Prince Esterházy” will be performed, under the artistic and musical direction of Maestro Annunziata De Paola. The performance will feature the Münchner Bachsolisten orchestra and the Philharmonischer Chor München, comprised of four soloists and forty choristers for the occasion. Additionally, on the same stage, there will be a presentation of Tableaux Vivants—living pictures based on the paintings of Caravaggio and other artists of his school: nearly one hundred people on stage together, simultaneously expressing the beauty and enchantment of Italian art and music!
The artistic and musical dedication to an international event like Gala Italia 2024 is unparalleled and marks the beginning of a series of events that All About Italy will organize following the pandemic, with many more important engagements planned for 2025, both in Europe and overseas, all dedicated to Made in Italy. This concept has attracted the attention of many entrepreneurs committed to the same mission, as well as public entities that view this event as a means to spread Italian culture worldwide.
Among the brands supporting this initiative are Generali Assicurazioni, Maserati, and Rocco Forte Hotels, along with public entities such as the regions of Emilia-Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia, and Tuscany. There are also trade associations like the Prosecco DOC Consortium and the Consortium for the Protection of Treviso IGP Radicchio and Castelfranco IGP Variegated Radicchio. Together, they reaffirm the strength of Made in Italy beyond national borders and emphasize the need for adequate protection against those who would alter its authenticity or undermine its status as a symbol of Italian craftsmanship and expertise.
