Fashion writer, author, and style expert, Francesca Belluomini is also an ambassador of Italian taste in the U.S. as well as an activist for sustainable and fair trade fashion. On top of being a consultant and writing her advice on her ChicFB website, she has also published a book entitled ‘The Cheat Sheet of Italian Style‘ to reach as many people as possible and show them how being stylish can easily be economical, ecological, and ethical.
Originally from Viareggio (Lucca), she graduated in fashion sociology and obtained a master’s degree in communication and mass media at the University of Florence. She subsequently pursued a career in fashion and design working closely with other professionals in Milan, Paris, and London, and specializing in tailoring, particularly in mixing tailor clothes with garments discovered in vintage flea markets. She moved to Miami twenty years ago and her mission in the U.S has become that of helping women to personalize their style, based on their personalities and needs, with great attention to sustainability and craftsmanship, all spiced up with the unmistakable Italian taste.
Belluomini is dedicated to assisting women to develop their own suitable look, which makes them feel comfortable, stylish and that does not drain their finances. Indeed, ‘ Cheat Sheet of Italian Style’ overcomes the cliches according to which to be elegant it is necessary to spend a lot of money; this pairs well with her idea that fashion must be a witness to the concepts of fair trade and quality versus quantity.
