Treviso Arts District (TAD) is the new multipurpose district in Villorba, a town in the province of Treviso, at the very heart of the Veneto region.
It rises within what was once an industrial area; a 1,500-square meter structure of industrial archeology.
It is a project by Alessandro Benetton and Davide Vanin, involving professionals and companies that are leaders in the visual arts, food, beverage and design sectors. It is structured as six spaces which are connected with each other in order for there to be a contamination of knowledge.

There’s contemporary art at 21Gallery, specialty coffee, a number of restaurants and cocktail bars. There is also Il Cantiere, a pop-up clothing shop, a new design concept store with a gourmet restaurant called Vite, as well as the educational areas and the hydroponic house.
Among these, 21Gallery is a new gallery dedicated to Italian and international upcoming artists under 40 years old. Its mission is to promote the youngest talents in the visual arts sector, while, at the same time, supporting charitable organizations by donating at least 20% of the profits.
This is what 21Gallery is all about. The benefit corporation stems from the coming together of three entrepreneurs from different fields and backgrounds.
Davide Vanin, a young man from Treviso operating in the logistics sector and also the creator of Cantiere Art District, a renowned cocktail bar which opened in 2018 inside an art gallery. There is also Massimiliano Mucciaccia, founder and owner of Mucciaccia Gallery-Modern & Contemporary Art Gallery, with branches in Rome, Cortina, London, Singapore and New York. Finally, there is Alessandro Benetton, the founder and president of 21 Invest Group, who is also a passionate contemporary art collector who decided to mobilize his connections in order to promote young people in the art world.
The 21Gallery owes its name to 2021; it is the year in which it was incorporated, but, most of all, it is the year in which a new beginning takes place in the aftermath of the coronavirus pandemic. It is filled with hope also thanks to extraordinary scientific advancements that have taken place.
Twenty-one, however, is also a number that is very dear to Alessandro Benetton, as it carries a number of meanings: the Fibonacci sequence, which is the basis of the proportions in Leonardo da Vinci’s paintings; the century that we are living in, with its expectation of the future and, of course, the company he started 30 years ago.
