EICMA 2019, the revolution of motorcycles

November 7-10, Fiera Milano hosts the biggest event in the world dedicated to the two-wheels

The 2019 edition of EICMA, the International Motorcycle Exhibition, is about to open its doors and it is looking to the future in the world of motorcycles. The one hosted annually in Milan is the premier event for the world of motorcycles. Motorcycle manufacturers take to the exhibition floor to unveil their new models. They are all there: sportbikes, cruisers, standards, adventure bikes, tourers, dirt bikes, and electric motorcycles. Custom motorcycle manufacturers show off their versions of choppers, cafe racers, scramblers, and more. Even aftermarket suppliers and retailers showcase their new products and gear.

From November 7th to November 10th, Fiera Milano Rho will host the 77th edition of the exhibition. This is proof of its significance as the most important and most long-lived two-wheel vehicle event in the world.

Strong of its heritage, EICMA 2019 focuses on the revolution of the sector and its theme is ‘Moto Rivoluzionario‘. This title is a word game based on the fact that in Italian the word ‘moto’ means both ‘motorcycle’ and ‘movement’. EICMA President Andrea Dell’Orto explains: “_Revolutionary because there will be many new features; a lot of technology, and a look at sustainable mobility with a pavilion dedicated to e-bikes. Expectations are high, with the experts who talk about a record-breaking edition. In fact, for the first time, there are eight pavilions of which will host 1,800 brands from 43 countrie_s”.

The revolution of the two-wheels that EICMA presents concentrates on connectivity and the many new zero-emission products on the market. The exhibition allows peeking at a future in which the motorcycle is connected to the calendar. The navigator automatically indicates the best route to take in order not to miss any appointments. The motorcycle reminds the rider how many kilometers s/he can do before connecting to a power outlet to recharge.
