A whole week to celebrate Italian Cuisine all over the world

**November 18-24, the 4th edition of the World Week of Italian Cuisine will focus on food culture

The 4th edition of the World Week of Italian Cuisine is about to open; it takes place from November 18th to November 24. The diplomatic-consular network of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs organizes the event as an all-round promotion of the Italian food and agricultural industry. The event shows how eating Italian means experiencing an extraordinary blend of taste, tradition, and innovation.

The event was presented on Monday at the presence of the Minister of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, Teresa Bellanova, who also intervened. The main theme of the event is ‘Food education and the culture of taste‘, which is of increasing importance for the food and agricultural sector. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vincenzo De Luca, explained that this edition aims above all to strengthen the awareness of the importance of the food-health relationship. This is in line with the actions that Italy leads to support the Mediterranean food model and other traditional and healthy diets.

The World Week of Italian Cuisine is an all-round event of promotion and education.

It aims also to raise awareness on the importance of the authentic of Made in Italy products. The event involves both the public and private actors that represent Italian cuisine in the world. The key players are national and regional institutions, ICE agencies, ENIT, universities, chambers of commerce, trade associations, cooking schools, certified Italian restaurant networks, and operators in the wine and food sector.
